Also he is unable to go into the sleep position and sits up in the bed rather than fall asleep , do you recommend to allow him to try to fall asleep on his own or I go into the room and soothe him? He seems to fall asleep while sitting only and head gets heavy he falls in an odd half seated half lying down position. When I go in to straighten him up, he wakes up and cries and goes hysterical again . Please advise I am going crazy here 🙁

      Hello Sonia,

I would encourage your little one to fall asleep independently. If your son can learn to fall asleep on his own, then he is able to fall back asleep on his own anytime he wakes in the middle of the night. It is okay if he falls asleep in an awkward position because he will readjust himself to get comfortable. We all tend to fall asleep and move positions several times throughout the night. As he gets more accustomed to falling asleep on his own, he will learn to lay down instead of sit up when its time to close his eyes! Alyssa, BSMS Support Team

    Hi Alyssa
My little one is going to turn 9 months next week. He usually sleeps from 6 to 4 am and wakes up once or twice. Can you advise what can be done to make him sleep independently? He cries for milk based soothing at night.

Hi thanks for your site, very helpful tips and definitely need to follow your advice. One question for you – if the baby does wake up before 6 am, what do you suggest one does? Do we rock to sleep or wait it out? Please help

Hello, Thanks for your message! How old is your little one? I would give your little one time to settle on his/her own independently. This will help with night wakings and early morning wake ups! Best, Alyssa, BSMS Support Team
